    How it works

Radiowave removal uses a fine electrode to lift the mole, skin tag or raised lesion away at skin level. The energy reaches only about 0.02 mm into the surrounding tissue, which is why the scarring is minimal and the healing is quick.

Karen looks at each spot under magnification first, so you both know exactly what's coming off.

Then she numbs the spot. Most clients say they felt a quick sting from the numbing and then just a bit of warmth.

0.02 mm of surrounding tissue. That is why most sites fade to a faint mark or nothing.

    Is it for me?

    This treatment suits you if:

    • You have a mole, skin tag or raised lesion that catches, rubs or bothers you.
    • It's been checked, or you're happy for Karen to look at it and refer you if she needs to.
    • You'd like it gone with as little scarring as possible.

    Not suitable if:

    • A mole that has changed shape, colour or size, or that bleeds or itches. See your GP or a skin cancer clinic first. We'll refer you on if we see anything.
    • You have a pacemaker. Radiowave equipment may not be suitable, so tell Karen at the consultation.

    Why people choose this treatment

    • Often one visit

A single lesion takes ten to fifteen minutes, and several can be done together.

    • Minimal scarring

The radiowave energy stays at the surface, so the healing mark is small.

    • Comfortable

A quick numbing first, then most people feel only a little warmth.

    • Face and body

Including eyelids, the neck and other delicate spots.

    • Looked at properly first

Karen checks each spot under magnification before she treats it.

    • Looked after afterwards

Personalised aftercare and support, so the spot heals quickly.

    What to expect

    1. At the start

Karen has a close look at the spot under magnification, then numbs it with local anaesthetic, which is the only part most people feel.

    2. The removal

The removal takes a few minutes per lesion. She dresses the area, talks you through the aftercare, and you can go back to work.

    3. Healing

The spot forms a small scab and heals over one to two weeks. Keep it out of the sun while it does. Once healed, most sites fade to a faint mark or nothing at all.

    Questions people ask

Do I need a referral or a skin check first?

No referral is needed. Karen looks at the spot under magnification at the free consultation, and you can book straight from there. If you have a recent skin-check letter, bring it along and she will work from that too.

    Does it hurt?

The local anaesthetic stings for a moment. After that most people feel only warmth.

How many can be removed at once?

Several in one visit is common, and we'll confirm how many and how long at the consultation.

    Will it leave a scar?

The radiowave tip affects only the top fraction of a millimetre, so the marks are small and usually fade to little or nothing. A larger or raised lesion leaves more than a skin tag does, and Karen will show you what to expect.

    Will the mole grow back?

Skin tags and most lesions stay gone. If a mole ever shows signs of coming back, it can be treated again.

    What does it cost?

You get a quote per lesion at the free consultation, once the spot has been looked at. Several can be done in one visit, and there's no obligation.
