What happens in the session
Nicotine works on the reward system in your brain. When you stop, your own feel-good chemicals drop for a while, and that drop is what makes the first days hard. The session is built around that.
Chris holds a low-level laser to acupuncture points on your ears, hands and wrists. You feel a slight warmth, if anything. The idea is to prompt your body to release its own endorphins so the cravings and the withdrawal are easier to sit through.
The laser is only part of it. He also gives you nutrient support to help your body clear the nicotine, and spends a good part of the session on the habit itself. Most people have a cigarette they reach for without thinking, with the morning coffee or on the drive home, and together you make a plan for each one.
One visit. Most people come in once, for about two and a half hours, and walk away with personalised aftercare and support.

Is it for me?
This treatment suits you if:
- You want to stop smoking or vaping, and the decision is yours.
- You've tried patches or gum before and it hasn't held.
- You'd rather not take medication to quit.
- You can clear one afternoon.
Not suitable if:
- You're pregnant, or you have epilepsy or a pacemaker. Talk to Chris first, as he may want your GP's advice.
- Someone else wants you to quit more than you do. It holds better when it's your own decision.
Laser acupuncture works alongside your usual care, so keep seeing your GP. Everyone responds in their own way, and Chris plans the session around you.
What the day looks like
Before you come
Have your last cigarette that morning, or the night before if you'd rather. Wear something comfortable, bring water, and keep the rest of the afternoon clear. The session runs about two and a half hours.
In the session
Chris starts by asking how and when you smoke. Then he works through the laser points on the ears, hands and wrists, a few minutes on each. People tend to find it relaxing, and some feel a light tingle. He goes over the supplement plan that helps your body clear the nicotine, and the last part is a practical conversation about the moments you'll find hardest and what you'll do instead.
Afterwards
You can drive home afterwards. Most people feel calm, and some feel a bit tired. You leave with personalised aftercare and Chris's number in case the first week gets hard.

Book a free consultationQuestions people ask
How long does the session take?
About two and a half hours, in one visit. That covers the laser, the nutrient plan and the coaching. The free consultation beforehand is a separate 20 to 30 minute appointment.
Does laser acupuncture hurt?
No. The laser is low-level and there are no needles. You feel a slight warmth or a tingle at each point, and most people find the session relaxing.
Will one session be enough?
For most clients, yes. If the cravings come back hard in the first weeks, Chris can see you again for a shorter session. He'll give you his view of your situation at the consultation.
Does it work for vaping?
Yes. A vape delivers nicotine the same way a cigarette does, and the habits around it are much the same. We adjust the session to how and when you vape.
What does the research say?
Laser acupuncture for quitting has been studied since the 1980s, and Chris has run this program since the 1990s. At the free consultation he will walk you through what the research covers, what the session includes, and what his clients tell him afterwards.
What does it cost?
There is one all-inclusive program fee. It covers the session, the nutrient support and the follow-up. You get the quote in writing at the free consultation, and there's no obligation.
